DOMESTIC VIOLENCE TASK FORCE
The purpose of the Domestic Violence Task Force Workshops are to engage, empower, and enlist the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, and Physically Disabled community members as well as their family members and caretakers into advocacy and activism around mental health. It aims to educate the participants on how to identify the signs of people who are victims of domestic violence and be able to provide the resources and access to appropriate help.
Our DV Taskforce provides in-depth domestic violence training (6-8 hours total) for laypersons and equips them with skills on resources and ways to provide crisis intervention. Compensation is given to participants that qualify*; spaces are limited. Join us today!
A community survey will be sent out to all interested parties with requests for feedback on logistics and accommodations needed to have a more inclusive training for all.
* Participants must be 18+ and live in LA County.
