Films Over Violence, Summer Series

Peace Over Violence, in collaboration with the South Asian Bar Association Public Interest Foundation, Heart, South Asian Network, Center for Pacific Asian Families and the Ahimsa Collective is honored to host the RAHI Foundation for a special evening screening of "The Little Girls We Were… And The Women We Are.”
The screening will serve as the launch event for “Films Over Violence,” a Summer film series produced by Peace Over Violence with sister organizations throughout Los Angeles. This series aims to bring films to the community that uplift survivors voices and bring awareness to the issues of sexual and intimate partner violence.
"The Little Girls We Were… And The Women We Are," is about five Indian women, survivors of incest and child sexual abuse, who share their journey from abuse to recovery. A poignant blend of personal testimonies, information and expert comments, this film gives the message of hope and recovery to survivors. The film will be followed by a community dialogue immediately after. Special guests include: Anuja Gupta, Founder and Executive Director of RAHI Foundation, Producer for "The Little Girls We Were… And The Women We Are,” Ashwani Ailawadi, Co-founder and Director of RAHI Foundation, Scriptwriter for "The Little Girls We Were… And The Women We Are" and Amita Swadhin, Founder & Director of Mirror Memoirs.
