Peace Over Violence offers workshops designed to provide non-offending parents with information about protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
Topics include:
The definition of child abuse
Understanding the Dependency Court system and DCFS
Recognizing signs of possible sexual abuse/exploitation
Sex trafficking
Recognizing different types of child molesters
Talking to children about sexual abuse prevention
Protecting your children from internet sexual exploitation
Addressing the impact of sexual abuse on families
This series of 10 workshops are conducted in English and ASL. Beginning March 25, the workshop meets every Monday from 4:00-5:30pm.
